UCEF Comenius trip to Poland

UCEF Comenius project was back in action this February half term, when a group of students and staff visited our partner school in the beautiful, idyllic town of Święcany in the south of Poland. Students and staff from all partner schools in Greece, Turkey, Czech Republic, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Spain, UK and Poland came together to emphatically celebrate European folklore. This time, the theme was traditional medicine and students from each country had prepared some highly imaginative, highly enjoyable presentations about aspects of popular medicine in their respective countries. In addition, a great deal was learned about the traditions and the way of life in this part of Poland, their cuisine, history, crafts, legends and fairytales, music, dance, religion and lots more. Nightingale students, although a world away from home and London, impressed again with a high level of maturity and adaptability, being a huge credit to themselves, their families, Nightingale Academy and the UK.

Next stop: Malaga, in Spain – Easter 2014
