First Aid skills have been taught to teenagers.
Year 12 students at Nightingale Academy, in Edmonton, have all undergone the vital training with the
London Ambulance Service as part of the British Heart Foundation Heartstart programme.
Students were taught what to do if they found someone unconscious and were shown the ABC – Airway,
Breathing, Circulation - routine and how to deliver CPR and use a defibrillator.

Nicola Hunt, operational lead for careers and employability, said: “This is part of our PSHE programme on
delivering life skills to our young people. It’s about giving students knowledge and understanding of how
things work and encouraging them to be well-rounded and responsible individuals.”
