Congratulations to 14 of our female students who secured victory for the Academy at White Hart Lane on the 18th May 2015. The girls were given a once in a lifetime chance to play an 11-aside football match against Walthamstow Girls School at White Hart Lane.

The VIP experience began when the Spurs Women’s First Football Team greeted the girls at the football stadium. They were walked to the Tottenham Hotspurs’ first team changing rooms where they were given a full kit to wear and keep.

The girls did a fabulous job of winning 3-0, with goals from Nikki, Casey-Ann, and player of the match Bella, who also won the Academy a signed shirt from the team. The girls were then awarded medals to mark the day and had lunch at the Spurs’ ground with the women’s team.

The match was the second game in a series of events to support the AIA youth charity in China, aiming to increase sports participation and promote health and wellbeing across the Asia-Pacific region. The last event took place on the 20thMarch 2015, where the charity brought over two students Wenmin and Yang from their remote village in Guangdong province in China for the first time to play at the Tottenham Hotspur training ground.

The Club Ambassador said:

“Football has an incredible power to bring people from around the world together in a unique way, and that is what we have seen today with Wenmin and Yang interacting with the girls from Nightingale Academy."

Well done girls!!!
