On the 27th of February, Nightingale Academy was host to a Premier League tournament for Year 5 and 6 students from local primary schools.

The Premier League programme is currently running across 4 boroughs. This was a fantastic opportunity for the under 11s to play on a full sized 3G football pitch and a chance for one of the schools to represent Tottenham Hotspur FC at a Premier League stadium at the national tournament come the end of the season.

The following primary schools took part in the tournament, Capel Manor, Wolfson Hillel, St Matthews, Hazelwood, Keys Meadow, Merryhills, Wilbury, Garfield, St EdmundsSt John and James, Oakthorpe and Walker Primary school.

Each primary school brought a squad of 8 players, and had 10 minutes to win their match. They were great ambassadors for their school and showed great team work throughout the afternoon. Congratulation to the two winners from the day who were St Edmunds and Oakthorpe primary. Who will be competing at the next stage at the Tottenham Hotspur training ground.
