Nightingale Academy are thrilled to have been published by the National Literacy Trust as an example of best practice. The case study is a three part series of interviews with Ms King (Teaching and Learning Lead) and Mrs MacInnes (Reading and Response Coordinator), demonstrating how

Nightingale Academy is developing pupils’ reading across the secondary curriculum. The topics covered in the case study are:

  1. Accelerated Reader

  2. Reciprocal Reading (the 'Four Active Reading skills' taught in lessons across the academy)

  3. Targeted Reading Interventions
