Maths specialists have ensured students are ready to take on their GCSE exams. Year 11 students at Nightingale Academy, in Edmonton, took part in a session with subject specialists from within the Academies Enterprise Trust. With information from the last assessment results, the specialists were able to target areas students needed ![]() Andrew Scott, associate senior leader responsible for maths at Nightingale, said: “Students moved around to different maths topics and were engaged in problem-solving, key areas such as solving quadratic equations and addressed problems with ratio and proportions. They also took part in maths quizzes and competitions to generate a real interest in the subject. “Feedback from students on the day said they found it very beneficial and interesting. It was a day very well spent as it took them away from the normal timetable and into a different learning environment.” |
