Careers Education, Information, Advice & Guidance (CEIAG)

In order to prepare our students for the various aspects of adult life, particularly the world of work, we provide a wide range of experiences and opportunities that are careers education and employability/transferable skills based. All students in all years will take part in a range of activities each year and will also have access to careers advice and guidance should they require it.

Individual careers interviews will be organised for those students who are at crucial decision making stages (especially transitions periods), allowing them access to impartial advice and guidance for support.

Our Employability Programme and IAG offer includes:
  • Access to on-line resources, including eClips (subscription has been organised) (All year groups)
  • Access to printed careers information and other IAG materials in the Learning Resource Centre (All year groups)

Year 9 GCSE Options

In Year 9, students will make their choices of subjects that they wish to study in Years 10 & 11. Until now, your Year 7,8 & 9 subjects have been set by the Academy and have followed the National Curriculum. Both students and their parents need to make the important decision about what to study.

We aim to provide a wide range of subjects at Nightingale Academy. For more information, click here.
